AMC B Policy

All Harker students are invited to take the AMC A. The test will take place on Nov. 6, 2024. 

Students interested in taking the AMC B on Nov. 12, 2024 must be active Math Club members. If you are a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader, then you must accumulate a total of 12 points from last December to this November. If you are a 9th grader, then you must earn 4 points.

Check out our schedule for upcoming events! Here are some ways you can earn points:

• Competing in a travel contest (BMT, HMMT, SMT, etc.): 8 points

• Competing in an online contest (SMT Online, etc.): 3 points

• Attending an in-school contest (BAMO, etc.): 4 points

• Attending a meeting (Arete, lectures, etc.): 1 point

• Solving Problem of the Week: 1 point (+ 1 point for suggesting the problem)

• Giving a lecture: 4 points
