About

Our Mission

Our goal is to inspire a passion for mathematics and problem-solving among our members by exposing them to a vast array of concepts and ideas beyond the rigid scope of a typical classroom curriculum. We want to promote mathematical, out-of-the-box thinking that is not covered in depth in a standard curriculum. We prepare club members for math competitions and encourage teamwork and collaboration both in and out of these competitions. Additionally, we promote and discuss opportunities to explore math research outside of school and higher-level math seen in college and careers in math.

What We Do

⭐ Prepare club members for and compete in math contests (Arete, AMC, HMMT, BMT, etc.)

⭐ Promote teamwork and collaboration both in and out of these competitions

⭐ Engage club members through student and guest lectures and weekly challenge problems

⭐ Host problem-solving workshops at the Lower School

⭐ Have fun! Play math and card games, solve puzzles, watch math movies, eat Parle-G, and more!

Feel free to contact us at mathclubus@students.harker.org with any suggestions at any time :)
